
Late Wednesday afternoon, a collision in Phoenix left Cecilio Alexander Villeda dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 5:30 p.m., on March 15, 2023, Phoenix Police Department officers responded to a call of a collision at 43rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road. Preliminary information indicates a vehicle driven by an adult man was going north on 43rd Avenue and attempted to make a left turn onto Thunderbird Road. That vehicle struck another vehicle that was going south on 43rd Avenue. The driver attempting to make a left turn, remained on scene and was not seriously injured. There were no signs of impairment.
The other vehicle was driven by the 32-year-old Villeda. Villeda was transported to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
