Hobbs’ press secretary Josselyn Berry posted her violent tweet advocating that those opposed to the trans community should be shot.

A day after a transsexual shot and killed 6 Christians in Tennessee, the press secretary for Arizona Governor Katie Hobbs tweeted out a meme with a clip of a woman preparing to shoot pistols. The caption above the meme read: “Us when we see transphobes.”

On Monday morning, the shooter, 28-year-old Audrey Hale, a transman, killed three adults and three children at the Covenant Presbyterian Church school in Nashville.

The shooting is considered by many to be a hate crime, but details of a manifesto left behind by the trouble shooter have not yet been revealed.

On Tuesday, Hobbs’ press secretary Josselyn Berry posted her violent tweet advocating that those opposed to the trans community should be shot.

According to AZFree News, before becoming Hobbs’ press secretary, Berry served as the “leader of two leftist dark money organizations and supporter of an FBI Most Wanted terrorist.”

Berry also served as communications director for the Arizona State Senate Democratic Caucus, where she gained public notoriety when she “quoted FBI Most Wanted Terrorist Assata Shakur in a tweet following George Floyd’s death. The Senate Democrats also shared the quote on their Twitter feed, but were forced to delete it and issue an apology after it stoked controversy,” reported AZFree News.

It was the former spokesman for former Arizona Governor Doug Ducey who first pointed out Berry’s violent message.

“This is an OUTRAGE. No question,” tweeted Daniel Scarpinato, the former spokesperson for Republican Governor Ducey. “12 hours after the shooting in TN, the spokeswoman FOR @GovernorHobbs  shared her feelings about what to do to people who disagree w/ her political views: Shoot them. JUST IMAGINE if this was the spokesperson for a Republican Governor.”

Editor’s Note: Berry’s tweet has since been taken down and she has locked her Twitter account.
