Two Arrested In Old Town Scottsdale Shooting

Two men have been arrested in connection with a shooting in Old Town Scottsdale.

Kamari Riley, age 38, and Javon Masters, age 21, were arrested for their involvement in the shooting incident that occurred around 2:30 a.m., on April 8th near 7400 East Camelback Rd.

No one was injured in the shooting, but there was property damage to nearby businesses and vehicles.

According to the Scottsdale Police Department, just after 2:30 a.m., officers already working in Old Town, heard gunfire, and immediately responded to the location of the shooting and were able to detain three individuals trying to leave the area.

Two of those individuals were Riley and Masters. During the initial investigation, guns were found in the nearby vehicle, and Riley and Masters were identified as the two suspects involved in the shooting. According to the Scottsdale Police Department, it appears this was an isolated incident between two groups of individuals that started as a verbal altercation, which escalated into a shooting.

More arrests are possible.

Riley was booked into the Maricopa County jail for discharging a firearm in city limits, discharging a firearm in a non-residential structure, endangerment, and criminal damage.

Masters was booked into the Scottsdale City jail for discharging a firearm in city limits, endangerment, and civil criminal damage.
