Phoenix detectives are investigating a late-night fatal collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle.
Last night, just before midnight, officers responded to a call of a collision involving a vehicle and motorcycle near 16th Street and Clarendon Avenue. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased on scene.
The driver of the vehicle remained on scene.
Detectives responded to take over the investigation. Early information indicates the vehicle attempted to make a left turn and was struck on the driver’s side door by a motorcyclist going southbound on 16th Street. The driver of the vehicle showed signs of impairment and was processed for DUI and released pending the outcome of the collision reconstruction.
The investigation remains active.
