In June 2022, Phoenix police began an investigation into an extremely violent sexual assault. Evidence at the time indicated it may be related to another case they were already working. Detectives were able to identify a suspect and arrest 25-year-old Tyler Munguia in connection with the two crimes.

As the investigation progressed, detectives gathered evidence, including video evidence, that lead them to believe there were five additional victims.

Detectives worked to identify and locate those they believed were victimize by Munguia. All but one of the victims were identified, located and agreed to aid in prosecution. All six cases were combined for prosecution, and in April 2023, a Grand Jury handed up an indictment against Munguia on 59 felony charges including sexual assault and kidnapping related to the six victims.

The Phoenix Police Department is now asking for the public’s help in identifying and locating the seventh victim in this series of crimes. Investigators are releasing photographs of two necklaces that were worn by the victim. They say they are concerned for her welfare and hope someone will recognize the necklace and help identify her.

Anyone with information about the identify of this woman, or anything possibly related to this case, is asked to contact the Phoenix Police Department.
