Two Men Arrested In Deadly Stabbing In Phoenix

Phoenix homicide detectives arrested two men in connection with the stabbing death of an adult male victim early Wednesday morning in west Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on May 3, 2023, just after 2:00 a.m., officers responded to an injured person call in a neighborhood near 52nd Avenue and Baseline Road. When officers got to the scene, they found a man lying on the sidewalk suffering from a stab wound. Phoenix Fire personnel responded and took the man to a local hospital where he was not able to survive from his injuries.

Officers were able to locate video from security cameras near the scene and saw two male suspects carrying the victim away from a nearby house. Five individuals from inside the house were detained and a search warrant was later served in connection with the
homicide.

Detectives identified 19-year-old Trevion Wright as the suspect in the murder and later booked him into Maricopa County Jail. Detectives were also able to identify 26-year-old Taylor Gordon as the other individual seen carrying the victim away from the scene. Gordon was booked into Maricopa County Jail.
