Phoenix Stabbing Leaves One Dead Two Others Injured, Suspect In Custody

One man has been arrested after a stabbing leaves a man dead in a North Phoenix residence.

On May 16, 2023, around 4:00 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to a residence in the area of 2400 East Waltann Lane regarding a stabbing. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, identified as 49-year-old Arturo Cabrera-Garcia with serious injuries. Cabrera-Garcia did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Another adult male, identified as Ulises Alexander Garcia-Garcia, was found to have sustained injuries as did an adult female found at the residence. The female was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Garcia-Garcia was treated on scene by the Phoenix Fire Department.

Detectives responded to investigate the scene. The investigation established probable cause to arrest and book Garcia-Garcia on multiple charges to include murder.
