Officers with the Glendale Police Department, have arrested two suspects accused in string of cat burglaries. The suspects have been identified 32-year-old Joseph Sosa and 24-year-old Damarie Doss.

Sosa and Doss are accused of breaking into at least 18 homes in and around the Glendale area and burglarizing them, while in most cases, the homeowners were home asleep at the time. Most of the incidents took place during the work week and occurred between the hours of 1:30 a.m., and 6:15 a.m.

Detectives say the two men would enter the homes through forced open or unsecured rear doors, rear windows or doggie doors. In most cases, the residents were home and slept through the burglaries. The suspects managed to get away with items such as wallets, purses, credit cards, keys and gaming consoles.

Detectives managed to locate the men by obtaining video surveillance footage from the residents’ homes or from nearby businesses. The video footage helped identify the vehicle used during the incidents, which led to its registered owner. Detectives also say, Damarie Doss used some of the stolen credit cards at convenience stores which also had video surveillance that could identify him.

When officers located the men both of them had stolen handguns on them, a search warrant served on their apartment found additional stolen property along with clothing that was worn during the burglaries.
