Phoenix Police and Silent Witness is asking for the public’s help identifying a suspect in an attempted armed robbery.
On Friday, February 25, 2022 at 6:15 p.m., the victim in this case was using WIFI outside the Burton Barr library located at 1221 North Central Avenue.
The suspect approached the victim and demanded property, and produced a handgun. The victim struggled with the suspect over the handgun and was able to remove it from the suspect.
The suspect, described as a White or Hispanic man, between 25-25 years-old, standing 6’1″, and weighing approximately 200lbs., fled the area on a bike.
The suspect was riding a spray-painted mountain bike with a yellow real wheel chain sprocket.
