Bullhead City Police Make Arrest In Shooting Of 16-Year-Old In Park

The Bullhead City Police Department arrested 16-year-old male on June 9, for attempted first degree murder of another 16-year-old male.

On Monday, June 5 at approximately 10:40 p.m., police were called to Rotary Park for a report of a drive-by shooting near the Firebird Football fields. A 16-year-old male victim was shot in the head and is currently in a Las Vegas, NV hospital listed in critical, yet stable condition.

Through the course of the investigation and after numerous interviews, a 16-year-old male juvenile was identified as the shooter. It was reported he had ongoing issues with another juvenile in the group that was shot at multiple times at Rotary Park. The 16-year-old victim who was shot, was reportedly not targeted nor involved in any prior issues or conflict.

No other injuries were reported.

Additional charges against two other teenagers are pending for acting as an accomplice in the attempted homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
