Hobbs Pulls Recommendation Of “Unqualified Extremist With Racist Past” Martin Quezada
On Monday, Governor Katie Hobbs sent a letter to Senate President Warren Petersen informing him that she is withdrawing her nomination of Martín Quezada to the position of Director for the Registrar of Contractors (ROC), effective immediately.
In May, the Senate Committee on Director Nominations rejected Quezada, a failed Treasurer candidate and former State Senator. Quezada joins a growing list of rejected Hobbs appointees.
Concerning information came to light about Mr. Quezada during the May 31st hearing, which led to the recommendation of rejection, including his frequent comments and behaviors supporting antisemitism, racism, and his intolerance for individuals based on skin color, gender, religion and political affiliation…
