Phoenix police are investigating a shooting in the area of 22nd Street and Thomas Road that left a man dead on Tuesday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 20, 2023, around 5:10 a.m., officers responded to the area of 2200 East Thomas Road regarding shots fired being heard in the area. When officers arrived in the area, they located an adult male with gunshot wounds. The unidentified victim did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives believe that multiple potential witnesses were in the area at the time of the shooting. The Phoenix Police Department is “strongly” encouraging anyone that may have heard or seen something to contact the Phoenix Police Department or Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
