A bicyclist riding south along 7th Street near Camelback Road was struck and killed by two vehicles who had left the area early Sunday morning.
On June 25, 2023, just after 3:00 a.m., patrol officers responded to a collision involving a man riding a bicycle near 7th Street and Oregon Street. When officer got to the area, they 67-year-old John Guaglian suffering from critical injuries. Phoenix Fire personal responded to the scene and took Mr. Guaglian to the hospital where he did not survive his injuries.
Detectives believe Mr. Guaglian the victim was riding south on 7th Street when the first vehicle struck him causing him to fall in the roadway. While on the ground, a second vehicle struck the victim and failed to stay at the scene.
Both involved vehicles continued to drive south as they left the area.
