Identity Of Teddy Bears’ Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

Silent Witness is asking for the public’s help in identifying a suspect in an armed robbery.

According to Silent Witness, on Sunday, April 16, 2023 at approximately 1:25 p.m., the suspect entered the Teddy Bears – El Paraiso store, located at 730 E. Brown Road in Mesa, while customers were inside and the employee was by the front counter.

The suspect drew a semi-automatic weapon from his waistband and pointed it at the employee and customers. The suspect ordered all customers to a corner area of the sales floor and demanded checks and cash from the employee. After receiving the money and checks the suspect fled the area.

The suspect should be considered armed and dangerous.

He is described as a person in his mid to late twenties, approximately 5’7”-5’9” tall, 150-160 lbs. He was wearing blue jeans, a long sleeved orange shirt, a black baseball style cap, a black head mask, a red bandana, and a black glove on his left hand as well as gray sneakers with white stripe.

Investigators are seeking any information regarding this incident.
