Accused Murderer Of Arizona City Market Owner Arrested

The suspect wanted for the murder of a convenience store clerk in Arizona City on Sunday has been identified.

On Sunday at 7:15 a.m., The Pinal County Sheriff’s Office and Arizona City Fire responded to the Sunlite Market at Sunland Gin Rd. and W. Concordia Dr. in Arizona City in reference to a welfare check. A customer had called 911 to report that the clerk was nonresponsive and not breathing.

Pinal County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested the “armed and dangerous” 31-year-old Billy Johnson after he left his Casa Grande home hours after the murder 41-year-old Mohammed Abul Hasim at his family-owned market, according to AZfamily.com.
