An arrest has been made in connection with a number of fights between middle school and high school students in the Scottsdale Unified School District.
The Scottsdale Police Department is continuing to investigate the acts of violence that occurred at multiple locations involving several Mohave Middle School and Saguaro High School students on August 17, 18, 19, and 21.
Videos of the fights were shared on social media.
“Each incident is being taken very seriously and investigate it thoroughly,” said the Department in a tweeted released on August 23rd. Scottsdale Police School Resource officers are diligently working to obtain all information related to these investigations. We understand the videos are disturbing and people were hurt during this incident. Please understand that the Scottsdale Police Department and Scottsdale Unified School District take this incident seriously and are taking the necessary steps toward an appropriate action. Scottsdale police would like to remind our community that any act of violence on or off school grounds will be taken seriously and investigated.”
