Detectives Investigate Fatal Motorcycle Crash In West Phoenix

Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a collision in west Phoenix that left a motorcyclist dead, Sunday morning.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 27, 2023, just after 5:30 a.m. officers responded to a collision near 4300 West Indian School Road which involved a car and a motorcyclist, identified as Victor Quibas. When officers got to the scene, they found the 62-year-old Quibas suffering from serious injuries. Phoenix Fire personnel responded to the scene and took him to the hospital for follow-up care.

Detectives responded to the scene and learned that the driver of the car was going north on 43rd Avenue. She was making a left turn into a private drive, when she hit Mr. Quibas. During the investigation, his injuries got worse and it was later reported he did not survive his injuries.
