An investigation continues into the shooting death of 39-year-old Bryson McKenzie near 2000 North 37th Street Tuesday evening.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on September 19, 2023, at about 6:21 p.m., officers responded to a shooting call near 2000 North 37th Street. When officers got to the area, they found McKenzie suffering from an apparent gunshot wound who was taken to the hospital and pronounced deceased by medical staff.
Patrol officers on scene detained an adult male who was later questioned by homicide detectives.
No arrest has been made in connection to the shooting.
