Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a west Phoenix collision that left a man
dead.
On October 3, 2023, around 7:15 p.m. officers responded to the area of 43rd Avenue and Glendale Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located an adult male with serious injuries. The man was treated on scene by the Phoenix Fire Department, but he did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
The two vehicles involved in the collision remained on scene. Impairment is not believed to be a factor in relation to the drivers of the vehicles.
Detectives believe that the man was crossing 43rd Avenue, mid-block, when he was struck by a vehicle traveling northbound on 43rd Avenue. This vehicle was then struck by another vehicle traveling northbound, causing the first vehicle to again strike the man.
