A 16-year-old Bisbee resident is in custody after he was caught with a load of illegal aliens.
According to the Cochise County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday October 5, 2023 deputies were looking for a white Toyota Tundra and a silver sedan believed to be a scout vehicle for the Tundra, which was believed to be a human smuggling load vehicle.
Deputies saw the Tundra heading north bound on Highway 80. A deputy made a traffic stop, but as he approached the vehicle, it sped off. A high-risk stop was then conducted. The driver was identified as the Bisbee teen and arrested. Deputies found 4 male illegal immigrants who were turned over to Border Patrol.
The teen was booked into Bisbee Jail as an adult.
