Chandler Police Arrest Suspects In Elderly Fraud Schemes Investigation

On October 6th, 2023, Chandler Police officers investigated a report of an 88-year-old victim who was defrauded of over $100,000 by suspects who represented themselves as Microsoft tech-support.

The victim also informed officers of a second transaction with the suspect for a large sum of gold coins that was scheduled to occur within the next few days.

On October 9, detectives located and identified the suspects. The suspects were followed to multiple locations before they were eventually arrested in Buckeye.

The suspects, Jeet Panchal, age 24, and Farhan Shaikh, age 28, both of Lakewood, California were booked on the following charges: ARS 13-182A3 Theft a Class 2 felony, ARS 13-2310A – Fraud Scheme a Class 2 Felony, and ARS 13-238C – Assisting a Criminal Syndicate, a Class 4 Felony.
