A Yavapai County jury has found Kenneth Shawn Frasard, 52, of Flagstaff, guilty of Possession of Methamphetamine for Sale, Possession of Fentanyl for Sale, Possession of Marijuana for Sale, and Misconduct Involving Weapons.

“Fentanyl and methamphetamine destroy families and threaten our communities,” said Yavapai County Attorney Dennis McGrane. “My office and our law enforcement partners will continue to make it a priority to investigate and hold accountable anyone who would traffic these deadly substances in our communities. I encourage anyone who is struggling with drug addiction, or whose loved one is addicted to drugs, to seek out the many resources that are available for treatment by calling the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration hotline at 1-800-662-4357.”

Frasard’s conviction came after the Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking (PANT) multi-agency task force in Yavapai County began a thorough and comprehensive investigation into alleged drug sales in Rimrock, Arizona. On August 12, 2022, PANT executed a search warrant on a Rimrock residence and took Frasard into custody. In the truck Frasard was using, PANT found approximately 155 fentanyl pills and multiple large knives. PANT detectives also recovered approximately 80 grams of methamphetamine, 4 ounces of marijuana, and multiple scales in Frasard’s backpack inside the house. Text messages found in Frasard’s cell phone demonstrated he intended to sell those drugs.

Sentencing is scheduled for November 22, 2023, at 1:30 p.m.

Frasard has an extensive felony record, committed these offenses while on warrant status after failing to appear for sentencing for a separate felony in Maricopa County, and is now facing a minimum of 12.5 years in the Arizona State Prison.
