9-Year-Old Boy Killed After 2-Vehicle Collision in Chandler

A 9-year-old boy was killed on Saturday morning after two vehicles collided at the intersection of Ray Road and Coronado Street near Loop 101.

According to the Chandler Police Department, two vehicles collided at the intersection and one of the vehicles left the roadway and struck the 9-year-old and an adult who were waiting to cross the street.

The 9-year-old boy was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries.

An adult male also was injured. He is currently at a local hospital being treated for his injuries.

Police say driver impairment is not suspected.
