Phoenix Police Department detectives are encouraging the community to call in with tips to help solve an early morning homicide in west Phoenix.
In the early morning hours of November 12, 2023, officers responded to a large party call at a house near Camelback Road and 55th Avenue. Officers got to the house and found a chaotic scene with hundreds of people running away from the house.
Officers found 23-year-old Carlos Vences Jr. suffering from gunshot wounds. Vences was taken to the hospital where he passed away from his injuries.
Detectives interviewed dozens of witnesses and believe other witnesses might know what led up to this deadly shooting and may know the person(s) responsible.
Detectives are encouraging anyone with information regarding the identification of the suspect that shot and killed Vences to call Silent Witness at 480-Witness or 480-Testigo, your tip will stay anonymous.
