On Sunday, in response to the massive surge of illegal migrants along the U.S.- Mexico border in Arizona, John R. Modlin, Chief of the U.S. Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector, announced that “social media accounts will be temporarily reduced to maximize our available staffing in support of our current operational challenges.”
Modlin pledged to maintain transparency but explained that agents are needed to assist in field work “in light of the ongoing migration surge.”
“In light of the ongoing migration surge, all Tucson Sector Border Patrol social media accounts will be temporarily reduced to maximize our available staffing in support of our current operational challenges,” tweeted Modlin.
Modlin then tweeted, “Apologies for my earlier hastily written statement. To be clear, it is my intention to remain transparent.”

Modlin has become a must-follow account for journalists due to his effort to be transparent. His weekly updates provide a snapshot of what agents in the Tucson sector are up against as the border remains wide open, and the Biden administration refuses to address the issue.

John Fabbricatore, a retired ICE Field Office Director and board member of the National Immigration Center for Enforcement, shared shocking videos of illegal aliens lined up for processing by Border Patrol agents.
“700+ migrants have crossed illegally within last few hours west of Lukeville, AZ in the Organ Pipe National Monument,” tweeted Fabbricatore. “Line is growing & is over a quarter mile long!!! This has become a regular occurrence for the Border Patrol. Where is the mainstream media?”
