Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a late-night shooting that left a woman dead and a man in jail.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on November 29, 2023, around 10:15 p.m., officers responded to the area of 79th Avenue and Hilton Avenue regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult female, identified as 25-year-old Jennifer Jazmin, with a gunshot wound.
Ms. Lopez did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Detectives learned that 24-year-old Steven Gault III was responsible for the shooting death of Ms. Lopez. Gault was booked on one count of manslaughter.
