Phoenix police detectives are investigating a hit and run collision that left one pedestrian dead.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on December 2, 2023 at 6:42 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man lying in the street unresponsive near 3700 East Thunderbird Road. The man was identified as 28-year-old Aron Moreno who was pronounced deceased on scene by the fire department.
Detectives believe a vehicle was traveling west on Thunderbird Road and struck pedestrian Moreno. The vehicle did not remain on scene.
Anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip.
