Man Arrested By Phoenix Police For Stabbing Death

Phoenix Police Department detectives arrested 32-year-old Tony Hill on December 11 after they obtained evidence and witness testimony that identified him as the suspect in the stabbing death of 44-year-old Amador Vasquez.

On December 10, 2023, around 7:30 p.m., Phoenix police officers responded to the area of 2300 North 32nd Street. When officers arrived on scene, they located Mr. Vasquez, with at least one stab wound. Mr. Vasquez was transported to a local hospital. He did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, Hill was interviewed and provided a self-defense claim; however, it was inconsistent with the evidence collected by investigators.

Hill was booked on one count of Second-Degree Murder and Tampering with Evidence.
