Phoenix Police Department detectives are investigating a shooting at a hotel that left one man dead; and a suspect outstanding.
Early Wednesday morning, officers were called to a shooting that was reported near a restaurant at Black Canyon Highway and Thomas Road. When officers arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. The fire department responded and transported the man to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Officers learned the man walked up to the restaurant and said he was shot. Officers checked the surrounding area and found evidence of a shooting inside a room at a nearby hotel.
Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness if they wish to remain anonymous.
