Phoenix Police detectives have arrested a man for the fatal stabbing of 32-year-old Kyle Richardson in downtown Phoenix on Saturday night.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on Saturday December 23, 2023, at about 7:15 p.m., officers responded to a stabbing scene near 200 South 11th Avenue. When officers got to the scene, they found Richardson suffering from a critical stab wound. Richardson was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased by medical staff.
During initial investigations, the suspect was identified as Edward Loper. While investigators were on scene, Loper was spotted walking in the area. Loper was detained and later booked into MCSO jail for second degree murder.
