Buckeye Man Arrested For Firing Gun To Ring In New Year

A Buckeye man was arrested after allegedly firing off dozens of shots to ring in the new year.

According to the Buckeye Police Department, shortly after midnight on January 1st, Buckeye police received a report of a man firing a gun outside a window of a home near Yuma Road and 241st Ave. Officers arrived at the location and spoke with the occupants of the home. Officers searched the property and located firearms and approximately 50 spent shell casings inside and outside the home.

The suspect, identified as 55-year-old Alexander Cain, was arrested without incident on felony charges including unlawful discharge of a firearm in city limits.
