Last Call 2024: if the AZ GOP Cannot Get its Act Together

2021 AZGOP annual statutory meeting

I’ve seen this movie before; got the tee-shirt & coffee mug; had a ringside seat for nearly 25 years in New Mexico.  Don’t laugh at that comparison; Arizona is next on the menu.

You’re down to razor-thin majorities in both Houses of the Legislature; you have Hard-Left, committed socialists in your top three state positions. Both your US Senators are Dimshevik (nee Democrats), and the one who claims ‘Independent Status’ is just waiting for that juicy, post-office $$$ sinecure, to be provided by the DC (District of Corruption) elite …so she can drop out of her 2024 contest.

That would allow another part of their culture-based, borderland political model to be repeated; like when all the Hollywood & Silicon Valley money elected Benny Lujan US Senator in New Mexico.  Same exact template with Ruben Gallego; Maestro Pelosi is again orchestrating behind the scenes.   California is already over there in “New Mickey Mouse”, boys & girls.

Your leading candidate is a former TV-news hottie who has Mar-a-Lago on speed dial; she has torched her brand with constant histrionics in and out of court.  Her sole political pedigree consists of one burning desire, “I only start at the top”.  Gee, even Señor Gallego was a Congressman, US Marine Iraqi War vet, and Chief of Staff for a Phoenix City Councilor.

Dimsheviks will place a wildly successful ballot initiative, their abortion-rights amendment, before Arizona 2024 voters; every one of them will turn out to vote for it. Your paper-thin, state GOP legislative majorities are in grave peril.  I signed their initiative, a very Libertarian & medical issue for me personally, but that’s for another column.

The AZ state party is beset with a fading oligarchy of fossilized, big-shot business leaders who still care about the political space; the newer tech & real estate biz-guys could care less.  These old, establishment GOPers (who have the money) —-are at odds with a menagerie of irritated local-yokels, from the Trumpista Magatites, to rapidly diminishing rural interests, religious wingnuts, squashed urbanites, and Midwestern retiree-geezers.  That last clueless bunch thinks politics functions on the border like it did back in ‘Sconsin.

Added into this mix—the group-grope Mobots of Utah fame, while astonishingly successful in the creation of modern Phoenix, have seen their army of identically minded Saints ground-down like Russian armor in Ukrainian mud.  Working your way into Arizona political heaven has suddenly become seriously difficult, huh?

If the Arizona Republican Party cannot get its collective act together, I’m here to tell you what’s on the other side of this unfolding tragedy, is an even greater unfolding tragedy. One that cannot help but spark a kind of 21st century “Civil War II, the Sequel”, along America’s border with Mexico. Ask George Friedman of Austin Texas’ infamous think tank, Stratfor.  Friedman’s been predicting it since the late 1990’s, and unlike the Ivy-League’s hi-IQ stupid people infesting DC (District of Corruption)…George has a ringside seat.

I’m not the only one thinking these thoughts; so are the Chinese, allowing their chief social strategist, Wang Huning’s 1994 book (translated), America Against America, to unfold.  Right on cue.  His long term visits to America in the early 1990s produced a cultural clarity about us and potential conflict, unsurpassed since Sun Tzu’s 5th century BC classic, The Art of War.

So yeah Arizona GOP, even without the presidency (which will suck all the oxygen out of the room), there’s a helluva lot riding on this election year in the Grand Canyon State.
