Two Men Found Dead After Shoot Out In Phoenix Home

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating an incident that left two men dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 22, 2024, around 5:20 p.m., officers responded to a home in the area of 40th Avenue and Yucca Street regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located 61-year-old Martin Lewis, with at least one gunshot wound. Officers extracted Lewis to a nearby area to be treated by the fire department. Lewis did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.

Other officers continued to search the home and located 87-year-old Richard Hall who also had suffered at least one gunshot wound. Hall did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Hall was later determined to be the owner of the home related to this incident.

Detectives believe that while at the home, the two men were involved in a dispute that resulted in an exchange of gunfire. Both men suffered gunshot wounds during this exchange.
