One Man Found Dead Another In Jail After West Valley Shooting

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a west valley shooting that left a man dead and another in jail for murder.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 25, 2024, around 8:59 p.m., officers responded a home in the area of 43rd Avenue and Encanto Boulevard regarding a man that was shot. When officers arrived, an adult male was located suffering from at least one gunshot wound. The man did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. Several people located inside of the home were detained and interviewed by responding officers.

Detectives identified 35-year-old Michael Lanunziata as the suspect at which time he was arrested. Lanunziata was booked into jail on one count of murder.
