Early Morning Crash In Phoenix Turns Fatal

Phoenix Police detectives were called out to investigate an early morning fatal collision involving a single vehicle in north Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on February 9, 2024, officers were called to a collision at the intersection of 27th Street and Greenway Road just after 5:00 a.m. When officers got to the scene, they found the involved car on fire. Phoenix Fire responded to extinguish the flames and found an adult male in the driver’s seat deceased.

Detectives learned that the driver of the car was going west on Greenway Road approaching a curve at 27th Street with two other men inside. The car lost control and drove into a private property striking five parked vehicles.

Both passengers were taken to the hospital for serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
