Woman Killed When Motorcycle Crashes Into Brick Wall

Phoenix police are investigating a fatal collision that occurred Sunday morning that left a woman dead at the hospital.

According to the Phoenix Police department, officers responded to a serious vehicle collision in a neighborhood near 35th Avenue and Dobbins Road. When officers arrived, they found a three wheeled motorcycle into a wall and a woman, later identified as 53-year-old Kristy Gatrel, on the ground nearby. The fire department responded and took her to the hospital where she died from her injuries.

Detectives learned that Ms. Gatrel was riding the motorcycle in the area when she was unable to control her speed and crashed into a wall. Ms. Gatrel was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
