Phoenix Police Investigating Deadly Hit-And-Run

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a collision in the west valley that left one woman dead and detectives searching for a vehicle that left the scene.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on February 20, 2024, around 9:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 33rd Avenue and Northern Avenue regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located the adult female pedestrian with serious injuries. The woman was transported to a local hospital where she did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased. The vehicle involved in the collision took off from the scene prior to police arrival.

Detectives believe the woman was crossing Northern Avenue at 33rd Avenue when she was struck by the vehicle involved which was traveling westbound on Northern Avenue.
