Maricopa County Grand Jury Indicts New York Murder Suspect, Raad Almansoori For Aggravated Assault

A Maricopa County Grand Jury has indicted a man accused of attacking two women in separate incidents the Valley and murder in New York.

Raad Almansoori was indicted by the Maricopa County Grand Jury for crimes committed in Phoenix and Surprise including: two counts of attempt to commit first degree murder, Class Two felonies; two counts of aggravated assault, Class Three felonies; one count of attempt to commit armed robbery, a Class Three felony; two counts of attempt to commit sexual assault, Class Three felonies, and one count of theft of means of transportation, a Class Three felony.

The charges stem from two separate criminal acts against two women in Phoenix and Surprise on February 17th and February 18th.

The defendant was detained by officers from the Scottsdale Police Department the same day as the second alleged attack.

The grand jury indictments replace the direct charges filed against Almansoori last week.
