Phoenix Police Looking For Vehicle In Deadly Hit-And-Run

Phoenix Police detectives are searching for a vehicle after it left the scene of a collision that left one woman dead.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on March 2, 2024, around 10:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 23rd Avenue and Thunderbird Road regarding a collision involving a pedestrian. When officers arrived, they located the adult female pedestrian identified as 47-year-old Amy Smith. Smith did not survive her injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene. The vehicle involved in the collision took off from the area just after the collision.

Detectives believe the vehicle involved was westbound on Thunderbird Road when it struck Smith who was in the roadway at the time. The vehicle continued west leaving the area.
