The Casa Grande Police Department has identified a body found in a desert area as Ishmael Smith.
According to the Casa Grande Police Department, a call was received about a body found in a front yard of a residence in the 100 block of North Morrison Avenue shortly before 7 a.m., on Sunday.
Investigators believe the 29-year-old local Smith died as a result of a gunshot wound to his lower torso.
