Two Teens Found Shot in Phoenix, One Dies

Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting that left one teen, Malachi Tyler Henningham, dead and another hospitalized.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on May 28, 2024, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 13000 South 48th Street regarding a person shot. When officers arrived, they located a teenaged male with at least one gunshot wound. The teen was transported to a nearby hospital where he remains and is in stable condition.

Close to the area where the first victim was located, a vehicle was found after it collided with a tree. Inside of this vehicle was the 17-year-old Henningham, who suffered at least one gunshot wound. Henningham did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.

Detectives are asking anyone with information to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
