Impairment Suspected In Drowning Death Of Phoenix Woman On Sunday

Phoenix Police detectives conducted an investigation into the drowning that resulted in the death of 30-year-old woman.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, on June 16, 2024, around 8:00 p.m., officers responded to the area of 1700 East Thunderbird Road for a call of a female floating in a pool and unresponsive. Upon arrival, officers and fire personnel found 30-year-old Angela Lisa floating in a raft with her head submerged in the water. She was transported to a local hospital and pronounced deceased.

Detectives responded to take over the investigation. At this time, there are no signs that indicate foul play is suspected. Preliminary information suggests that impairment might be a factor. The investigation is pending postmortem examination and toxicology report.
