A recent poll of likely voters has found that U.S. Senate candidate Kari Lake is leading Ruben Gallego by 1-point.

The National Republican Senate Committee (NRSC) internal poll does not align with the state’s voter registrations which show the Republican Party dominating the state. However, it appears that Lake is benefitting from the increasing popularity of President Trump.

Voter Registration Statistics – April 2024

Party Name Registered Voters Percent
Republican 1,434,982 35.36%
Democratic 1,192,205 29.38%
Libertarian 31,164 0.77%
No Labels 27,529 0.68%
Green 2,796 0.07%
Other 1,369,644 33.75%
Total 4,058,320

In the NRSC poll Trump has an 11-point lead in Arizona over President Joe Biden.

Lake’s campaign says among undecided voters President Trump holds a 7% lead, “providing Lake a larger opportunity to define lesser known progressive Ruben Gallego, a staunch Biden ally, in the race on his radical voting record.”

“Arizonans overwhelmingly disapprove of Joe Biden’s performance,” said the Lake campaign in a press release. “Soon, Arizonans will learn just how closely Ruben Gallego is tied to Joe Biden and his radical policies – voting with him 100% of the time – and they won’t approve of his record either.”
