Woman Arrested For Shooting Death Of Woman In Phoenix

Phoenix Police detectives have arrested 24-year-old Teayanna Minter in the shooting death of a woman that happened in the early morning hours of June 29, 2024.

According to the Phoenix Police Department, just before 5:00 a.m. on June 29th, officers responded to a shooting incident near 3000 West Clarendon Avenue. When officers arrived on scene, they found Ta’Janae Carter, age 29, suffering from gunshot wounds.

Carter was treated by Phoenix Fire personnel who took her to a local hospital for emergency care. While at the hospital, she was not able to survive her injuries and passed away.

Detectives responded to the scene and took over the investigation. Later in the day Minter turned herself in at the Glendale Police Department. Phoenix Police Investigators responded and took her into custody later booked her into Maricopa County Jail for 2nd Degree Murder.
