Phoenix Police Investigating Shooting Death Of Woman In Vehicle

Phoenix Police detectives are working closely with Maricopa County Medical Examiner’s Office to identify the cause and manner of death for 30-year-old Emma Damian who died just after midnight in south Phoenix.

According to the Phoenix Police, on July 24, 2024, at about 12:22 a.m., officers were called to the area of 19th Avenue and Baseline Road to investigate a collision involving a passenger car and a cement irrigation container. When officers got to the scene, they located Emma inside a vehicle suffering from critical injuries.

Phoenix fire personnel responded and pronounced Emma deceased on scene. During the initial investigation, information was learned that a second vehicle was seen following Emma north on 19th Avenue shooting at her. Emma’s vehicle was then witnessed accelerating north and driving off the roadway striking the irrigations container.
