Phoenix Police detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a man found in a west valley alleyway.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on August 27, 2024, around 6:50 a.m., officers responded to the area of 27th Avenue and Solano Drive regarding a check welfare for an unresponsive adult male found in a nearby alleyway. When officers arrived, they located the man, identified as 53-year-old Jesse Benich, with at least one gunshot wound.
Benich was pronounced deceased on scene.
Homicide detectives are asking anyone with information is asked to call Silent Witness at 480(WITNESS) or 480(TESTIGO) and provide an anonymous tip. Rewards will be paid for information leading to an arrest in this case.
