Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested a man, Sky Taylor, this weekend after he pushed a woman out of her car and drove off with her child in the car.
According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office (YCSO), on Saturday night, deputies responded to a report of a fight in Seligman. A woman said she was driving in a car with two men and her 3-year-old child. She told YCSO that while she was driving one of the men was heavily intoxicated and became aggressive toward her.
The woman alleged that the man forced the vehicle into park, then forced her out of the car which caused her to hit her head and lose consciousness. The other man, who was in the backseat with his grandchild, was also demanded to leave the vehicle. While he was exiting the car, the suspect got into the driver seat and accelerated rapidly throwing him to the ground and injuring him as well.
The 39-year-old Taylor then drove to a residence near Bridge Canyon with the child. When deputies arrived at the home, they were unable to make contact with him. They were able to make contact with the three-year-old through an open window and instruct the child to come out to the deputies.
After over an hour, he eventually complied and was arrested. He was booked on Aggravated Assault, Endangerment, Domestic Violence, Prohibited Possessor, and Disorderly Conduct.
You know, I assume every vehicle on the road is carrying a firearm But, I am probably wrong.
