A teenager has been arrested in connection with a shooting that left one youth dead and injured two others in the area of 13th Street and Van Buren Street.
The juvenile suspect was booked on murder and multiple counts of aggravated assault on Monday.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on September 21, 2024, around midnight, an officer in the area of 1200 South 7th Avenue was flagged down by a vehicle that contained multiple juveniles with gunshot wounds. In total, three teenagers were found to have suffered gunshot wounds and all were transported to a nearby hospital.
Two of these victims had injuries determined to be non-life threatening.
The third teenaged male did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
