Phoenix Police detectives are investigating a shooting that claimed the life of a man.
According to the Phoenix Police Department, on January 15, 2025, around 11:30 p.m., officers responded to the area of 18th Avenue and Cholla Street regarding a shooting. When officers arrived, they located an adult male, identified as 26-year-old Marcos Antonio Daniel-Eby, with at least one gunshot wound.
Daniel-Eby did not survive his injuries and was pronounced deceased on scene.
Police say that a man was contacted who admitted to being involved in the shooting. This man was interviewed and released pending additional investigation.
Once complete, this case will be submitted to be Maricopa County Attorney’s Office.
