Reactions were mixed from Arizona’s politicos in reaction to President Donald Trump’s inauguration.

Congressman Greg Stanton tweeted, “The inauguration is a bipartisan affair. I’m here at the U.S. Capitol this morning with members of the Class of 2018—Republicans and Democrats.”

Stanton later took a swipe at Trump on X.com, “Arizona is on the front lines of drought & extreme heat from climate change. We can’t afford to undo our progress on clean energy investments & protections from extreme weather. I joined 110 of my colleagues on a letter committing to #StandStrongForClimate in the 119th Congress.

Congressman Abe Hamadeh tweeted, “Today, with the United States takes a step forward into its golden era. At high noon, President Donald J. Trump will be sworn in as the 47th President alongside our new Vice President JD Vance, marking a new chapter in our nation’s history. From day one, President Trump will sign Executive Orders to reverse the destructive policies of the Biden Administration and deliver on the promises of a stronger, safer, and more prosperous in America. In Congress, we stand ready to support his American First agenda and tirelessly to Make America Great Again.”

Senator Ruben Gallego tweeted, “Arizonans sent me to Washington to work with both parties, lower costs for families, secure our border, and fight for immigration reform. With this new administration, I will do everything I can to deliver for AZ and speak out against any efforts to harm hardworking Arizonans.”

Congressman Juan Ciscomani tweeted, ‘In America, the impossible is what we do best,’
quoting President Trump. “Now we get to work fighting for the American Dream! ”

Senator Mark Kelly tweeted, “Today, our country saw a peaceful transfer of power. My focus will continue to be on the challenges that matter most to Arizonans. I’ll work with the new administration where there is common ground, and I’ll stand up to anyone to do what’s right for our state.

Congresswoman Yassamin Ansari tweeted, “Thank you President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for your lifetime of service to our country. Our nation is stronger because of your leadership, and we will continue to fight for the promise of America.”
